AMD has announced its much anticipated mid-range offerings in the Radeon RX 7000 series of graphics cards. The RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT were unveiled today at Gamescom 2023 and will be available starting September 6. AMD today announced the Radeon RX 7900 GRE desktop graphics. Although announced first in China, it seems the card will also be available globally. The RX 7900 GRE (which stands for Golden Rabbit Edition) is a cut-down version of the RX 7900 XT with some minor reductions to the GPU and significant reductions to the memory. AMD and Micro Center have announced a limited run launch of the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D CPU. This is a variant of the Ryzen 5 5600X but with the 3D V-Cache technology. The 5600X3D, much like the 5600X itself, is technically a chip that wasn't good enough to be a 5800X3D. This means instead of eight functional CPU cores, it has six.
