Today OpenAI is launching Instant Checkout in ChatGPT, powered by a new Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP) it's built in collaboration with Stripe. What this means in practice is that if you are in the US, regardless of which ChatGPT tier you're using (including the free one), you can buy directly from US sellers on Etsy right in your chat. According to internal sources at Apple, the company has built a ChatGPT-like app for iPhones that helps the engineering team develop the next-generation Siri, powered by LLM.
