Samsung's Galaxy S26 Ultra is now rumored to have a very intriguing change compared to its predecessor: a much bigger hole punch for the selfie camera. In fact, it allegedly reaches 4mm in diameter. As you can see from the comparison render below, it's significantly bigger than in the S25 Ultra. But, don't get your hopes up. This is apparently not due to an upgrade in camera sensor size, it's just that the S26 Ultra's camera will have a wider field of view than its predecessor's. The S26 Ultra's selfie camera reportedly has an 85-degree field of view, which is allegedly the same as...

The 'vanilla' Galaxy S26 was for a while rumored to be called Galaxy S26 Pro, but if that was ever the plan, Samsung is now rumored to have given up on it. Interestingly, however, the Korean company has allegedly tweaked the device's dimensions at the last minute. According to a new report, the S26's final measurements are 149.5 x 71.6 x 7.24 mm, and the thickness goes up to 10.44 mm at the camera bump. Samsung's Galaxy S26+ is back on track, after allegedly having been initially scrapped in favor of the Galaxy S26 Edge. Now that device's release is in question, though if it does arrive, it will probably be later than the rest of the family. Today, CAD-based renders of the Galaxy S26+ have been outed, along with the phone's dimensions. Let's start there. It measures 158.4 x 75.7 x 7.35 mm. That makes it the same height, and marginally narrower and thicker than its predecessor, but we are talking fractions of a millimeter here, so for all intents and purposes it will feel identical in...

According to Digital Chat Station, LOFIC image sensors are about to gain wider adoption as smartphone makers and image sensor makers are gearing up for competition. A partnership between OmniVision and vivo will produce results soon, according to DCS, but he didn’t name model names. Other sensor makers are working on LOFIC designs too. LOFIC stands for Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor – it’s a capacitor that takes in the charge that goes over the photodiode’s full well capacity. This enables things like single-exposure HDR and longer exposures. We’ve already seen a LOFIC sensor...

Samsung is looking to launch a credit card in the US, reports The Wall Street Journal. The card will be a partnership between Samsung and British bank Barclays and it will use Visa as the payment network. This is clearly intended to compete with the Apple Card that rival Apple offers. That one is backed by Goldman Sachs and Mastercard (though we hear that Goldman Sachs wants out). Samsung and Barclays are reportedly in “advanced talks” and should make a formal announcement by the end of the year. Apparently, talks are taking longer than expected. Both companies have something to gain...
