The Google Play Console's Supported Devices list has a surprise for us today - the Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G. This is obviously coming soon, since it's been added to this list, and like all of the M-series devices, it's a rebranded A-series model. But which exact one may surprise you. It is in fact a rebranded A07 5G. Even the model number sort of confirms this, as it's SM-M076B. The codename adds further proof: "a07x". Nothing else is known about the M17e at the moment, but the Galaxy A07 5G is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 6300 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM, so we wouldn't be at all...

The Redmi Note 15 series was recently launched for global markets, and the Xiaomi sub-brand bills these devices as "Titan tough", with enhanced durability. Interestingly, Redmi now wants to prove just how tough they are, and will do so live on air on January 10 at 4 PM in China, which is 1:30 PM in India, 8 AM in London, and 9 AM in Central Europe. The live stream is already set up on X at this link, where you can follow it at that time to check out Redmi's "Titan Lab Testing", which promises pendulum drop testing as well as other tests, with "no edits", just "real toughness".
Apart from its upcoming Magic8 Pro Air, Honor is also set to announce a new RSR Porsche Design model, which will slot in as the top-tier flagship in the Magic8 series. The device previously emerged in a rumor discussing its in-house developed 1-inch type sensor with a variable aperture. We now have our first image of the device, which leaked on Chinese social media, alongside some additional spec details. Internal testing has shown that Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra’s new 60W charging can fill the battery from 0% to 75% in 30 minutes, reveals Ice Universe. This was tested under laboratory conditions, whatever those were (presumably controlled room temperature). That doesn’t sound particularly impressive for a 15W increase over the Galaxy S25 Ultra. As a reminder, in our review of the S25 Ultra, we saw a 72% charge after 30 minutes. And yes, the S26 Ultra is supposed to have a bigger battery, though rumors suggest it will only go up to 5,200mAh (+200mAh compared to the 2025 model). A word of...
Google has made some of its Gemini 3-based AI tools free in Gmail. AI Overviews and tools like Smart Replies and Help Me Write were only available for users with an AI subscription (Google AI Plus or Ultra), but no longer. AI Inbox filters out the clutter in your inbox and gives you a briefing with quick highlights. It also sums up those long Reply to All emails, which is very handy. Help Me Write is just what it sounds like - you can give Gemini a prompt of what you want to write, and it will do the rest. You can also refine specific parts of the generated messages. Suggested...

It will be offered by Amazon, Argos, EE, Virgin Media O2, VodafoneThree, Tesco Mobile, Currys, Very, and John Lewis. We'll update this article once the listings are live and the mystery is...
The battery is probably the smartphone component that is improving the fastest – OnePlus just unveiled a pair of phones with 9,000mAh batteries. And we’re not talking about brick-sized phones here, the two measure 8.5mm thick and weigh 215g. The OnePlus Turbo 6 and the Turbo 6V are very similar devices. The 6 is the more premium model with a base price of CNY 2,300 (for a 12/256GB unit), while the 6V is more affordable and starts at CNY 1,900 (8/256GB). We have more detailed pricing for China at the bottom. Note that there is an early bird discount that drops these prices by CNY...
Apple has lagged behind competitors, especially Chinese smartphone brands, in adopting cutting-edge camera hardware. That may change soon, as a new report suggests the company is considering multispectral imaging technology for future iPhone models. Well-known tipster Digital Chat Station reports that Apple has shown interest in multispectral sensors and has reached out to suppliers. However, the tipster added that testing has yet to begin. Multispectral imaging works by capturing light in several distinct wavelength bands, including those not visible to the human eye. This enables...
