The Redmi Turbo 4 launched earlier this month in China and then got promptly rebranded for international markets as the Poco X7 Pro. It will be joined by the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro this year, which has previously been rumored to adopt a shockingly huge battery. Today a new rumor out of China sheds more light on the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro and let's start with the battery itself. Previously said to be 7,500 mAh, this has apparently been toned down slightly to the low 7,000s. Notably, we now know what to expect chipset-wise, as the device is said to use the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite. Redmi...

Xiaomi's Mix Flip 2 is rumored to launch earlier in the year than its predecessor thanks to that device's allegedly very good sales numbers. The Mix Flip 2 will allegedly arrive with a bigger battery in a thinner and lighter body, which is all good news. Today we have some not so good news as well. The Mix Flip 2 will stick with two 'rear' cameras, and interestingly will switch the telephoto of the original with a 50 MP ultrawide using a 1/2.76" type sensor. This will be paired with a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.5" type sensor. Original Xiaomi Mix Flip The phone will be powered by...

Our Poco X7 Pro battery life test is now ready

The Poco X7 Pro features a hefty 6,000 mAh battery (at least the global variant), which is quite generous. The battery powers the Dimensity 8400 Ultra SoC and a 6.67-inch OLED display, which looks like a combo with great potential when it comes to power autonomy. Unfortunately, the Poco X7 Pro fell short of our expectations. Sure, the device achieved an Active Use Score of 12:43h, which is around average or for its class, but most competitors are running on smaller cells. That's to say the Poco X7 Pro fails to make its larger cell count. const BATTERY_TEST_PHONE_V2 =...

Bixby. "A true AI companion". Bixby. Yes here we are in early 2025 and Samsung is still trying to make Bixby a thing. If first you don't succeed, try a few million more times, right? Anyway, Samsung is teasing the "AI companion" that will be revealed on January 22 at the launch event for the Galaxy S25 family. And yes, it's Bixby. Jokes about Bixby being peak Samsung tryhard aside, this is really happening and we're wondering just what enhancements the company has prepared for Bixby. And if anyone outside tech product reviewers will ever use them. Or even know they exist. Like,...

Last week we heard that Samsung was working on its own tri-fold smartphone to rival Huawei's Mate XT. Samsung was then said to be unleashing this device in the second half of this year, with less than 300,000 units available due to the very complicated manufacturing processes required. Today a new report from Korea takes that number down even lower. Apparently, there will only be around 200,000 units made. Parts for the device will be produced starting in the second quarter (April to June). Allegedly, Samsung has now shared its plans with "major component manufacturers". The Samsung...
