Earlier this year, HMD entered a new phase of its brand image and dropped its Nokia branding for smartphones in favor of its own HMD-branded devices. HMD continued to offer Nokia-branded smartphones, feature phones, and tablets for the past months but it seems supplies for those have come to an end, at least in Europe. No Nokia smaretphones in sight on HMD.com/UK You won’t find Nokia-branded devices on most of the official HMD websites in the Old Continent but Nokia devices are still present across HMD’s storefronts in Asia, Africa and the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand, and...
There’s a reason why the classics still play on the radio – and it’s the same reason that HMD has embraced the Lumia design language for its recent batch of phones, starting with the Skyline. Arguably the best Lumia of them all was the Lumia 1020, all thanks to the impressive 41MP sensor housed on a circular camera island on the back. HMD seems to be tapping into just that design for an unnamed upcoming model. The centered circular island is home to four lenses (and the LED flash), as seen in the leaked silhouette below: HMD’s Lumia 1020 lookalike This isn’t the HMD Hyper, which...

Following months of teasers, HMD finally announced its Barbie-themed flip phone. The device is more or less a gamified Nokia 2660 Flip but features several software tweaks as well as a big styling makeover. As you’d expect from a collaboration pink plays a big theme. The phone comes with a pink removable 1,450 mAh battery, a pink USB-C cable, a color-matched polishing cloth and a few more accessories. These include two replaceable back covers, a beaded phone strap, attachable phone charms, and Barbie stickers. HMD Barbie Phone features a 2.8-inch main screen and a 1.77-inch...
HMD just announced it is becoming FC Barcelona's official smartphone partner. The company will support the men's club and Barcelona Femeni, the women's team. The announcement also revealed that teams from other sports will be involved in the partnership, including basketball, futsal, handball and roller hockey. The partnership was revealed by Saul Peregrina, the hairdresser of Lamine Yamal, the 17-year-old wunderkind and future star of the Catalan team. The barber cut the HMD logo next to a Barcelona crest, formally announcing the partnership. The deal is initially for...
HMD is preparing to launch another phone with a design that definitely took inspiration from the Nokia N9. It will be the second one with such looks after the Skyline, launched just a month ago. The new handset will arrive in Green and Purple colors, and we believe it might be yet another midranger from HMD, looking at the simple dual-camera setup. A new mysterious phone from HMD The new phone does not appear to be the leaked HMD Hyper as the LED placement on the camera island is different. We have virtually no clue what this device will be called or what specs it will have,...
The HMD Skyline is supposed to launch this month – leaks have shown that this phone has a design that is reminiscent of the Lumia aesthetic. It will be one of 5 (or more) new Android phones from HMD including the HMD Pulse trio (which is already official) and the rumored HMD Atlas. Other models include HMD Ridge and Waylay (budget 5G phones) to go with the Xenon and Skyline (mid-range to high 5G models). We’ve seen images of the Skyline before and they show a punch hole selfie camera. Upcoming HMD phone with Lumia-like design (leaked images) Now @smashx_60 has shared images of...

HMD is courting corporate customers with the introduction of the HMD Pulse+ Business Edition. Physically, the phone is the same as the consumer version. There is a difference in software and support that makes deploying this phone to employees and helping them out when something goes wrong is easier. First off, the phone comes with an extended 3-year warranty. Also, the usual 3 years of security patches have been extended to 5 years to ensure that company data is kept safe. The phone will still only receive 2 years of OS updates, though. HMD Pulse+ Business Edition As for...
