vivo has co-developed a custom image sensor with Sony for the vivo X100 series

vivo is working on custom silicon designs to power its next-generation of camera phones. The company just revealed that it has partnered with Sony’s Lytia division to create a customized version of the LYT800 sensor for the vivo X100 series. The LYT800 makes use of Sony’s stacked design, which separates the photodiodes and the transistors that read them into two layers (normally they are side by side).
