Samsung Exynos 1580 appears on Geekbench, will match 2021 flagships

Samsung is working on a mid-range chipset called Exynos 1580, which might be as powerful as the flagship SoCs from 2021 - Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100. According to a Geekbench listing, the new platform will have a CPU with one 2.91 GHz, three 2.6 GHz and four 1.95 GHz cores – similar to the Exynos 2100 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. Samsung is reportedly working on a new flagship chipset, expected to be called Exynos 2400. According to a leakster on Twitter, the SoC will incorporate a new RDNA2-based graphics unit with 6WGP. This has four times the compute units of the Xclipse 920 GPU in the Exynos 2200. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra WGP stands for “workgroup processor” and is part of the RDNA architecture developed by AMD.
